And I read it in the news paper as well. It was the same one sided story that we have been shown and made to read again and again and with this ongoing media hijacking the news, people are left with no authentic source of information. After all, mediacroocks does have credence.
The anti-national elements, who should be been sued for sedition have taken cover of freedom of expression and played the victim and the actual victims who have been suffering for decades, were sent to jail.
One of the leading "page 3" daily, though some people call it news paper as well, reported that people don't have tolerance to accept alternative views and this intolerence is creating a dangerous society. It is worth noting and analysing as this seems a very geniune concern. So for the benefit of the readers I would try to list out few points where toleration of every Indian is expected:
1. Tolerate the intruder like imager of Indian army in its own country.
2. Tolerate the protrayal of terrorists as martyrs.
3. Tolerate and possibly adopt the view that purpose of Jihad is not only to "liberate kashmir" but to "liberate whole India".
4. Tolerate the very fact that there is no alternative view shown except the separatist views and when you counter them then be ready to listen(rather read in paid media) that alternative views are not tolerated.
I can understand the mental disability of "page 3" news papers in comprehending complex issues such as national integrity, separatism and appeasement but then they should limit themselves to "Parneeti vs Priyanka at box office", "Amir vs John and Hrithik in Dhoom series" and "SRK vs Sallu" only. The reason being, not even the organisers but the "page 3" itself could not comprehend the level of tolerence shown by people of India to them. It is that tolerance only which has resulted in "today's Kashmir". The government agencies tolerated the churning of anti-India sentiments by not banning the movie in frist place. Secondly they tolerated you by not putting sedition charges on you as this law outlaws speech that “brings or attempts to bring into hatred or contempt, or excites or attempts to excite disaffection towards, the Government established by law in India.”
The memorandum, which was a "threat letter" to the pawn organisers and "page 3" newspaper, was also carbon copied to government and officials. Had it been a threat letter, their anti-Indian sympathy could have been on display, coutesy -- toleration of our governance.
The best part of any "page 3" news paper is to weave out a story out of somewhere and I think that these story writers are paid very well. On seeing the fancy bridge that these writers create even without using any pillar, Joseph Strauss will fell off the golden gate bridge. Aforesaid facts apart, but it was the toleration of Kashmiri people who tried to approach the festival organisers. Had there not been something wrong in the intent of the festival organizers, they would have been more than happy to get a helping hand and that too from the community which has been expelled out of Kashmir. The sole reason they did not accept the help is their intent and anti-India Jihad.
Our toleration knows no limit but the anticipators of toleration need to draw a line between what they anticipate as toleration is basically ignorance to sedition.
