1. If all political parties are pro National Development then what this fight is for ? Broadly, If all of them want to make the nation developed by 2020 (or some time), then why don’t they sit together and chalk out a” National Development Strategy” rather than having a “Party’s or Coalition’s Common minimum program” that is agreed on to share the power at the end of the general election. That program can be executed irrespective of the ruling coalition.
2. If all political parties say that they have done right and the others have done wrong, why don’t they setup a political watchdog and adhere to its decision? ( would it be utilized the way CBI is or ignored the way EC is ).
The questions can be many more but the answer seems only one “The fight is for Power and not for their interest to serve the nation.” Number of time it seems that National Development is a by product of discharging the powerful duties.
Besides that, there are several questions(there could be many more) that need to answered before we get a clear idea about new political system( I fancy to call Political Utopia).
This post is to generate some more questions that has been lingering in your mind for quite some time or the input that you think could be important to make your dream political party.
Please don't suppress your thoughts and fire the questions.
For Constitution
* How to rate a government for its performance?
* How a Member be rated for his/her performance. Should he/she not be banned (forever/for some time) if he/she performs abysmally ?
* Why not to have a performance related pay criteria to all the members of Parliament?
* Should the number of working days of parliament be not the basis for payment to the honorable member ?
For Parties
* In this high-Tech time, is it wise and feasible to have a public review of the newly formulated policies (please keep Rural India in mind )
* What is the groundwork that political parties do other than wooing person to satiate his/her psychological need to recognition?
* Are criminal cases against a person indicative of high probability to get a ticket?
* Is it some notorious recognition or the financial influence that is decisive factor while allocating ticket?
* How are the funds allocated to Member of Parliament utilized?
* How to measure the effectiveness of fund allocation?
* At what time the party should plan the retirement of its patriarch/matriarch ?
* Do we need a system within party that critically analyses the policies and its effectiveness? Can it foresee that it is not a voting gimmick but a plan with national interest ?
For Public
* Is this candidate/party my voting choice or vote to this person/party has been my family tradition?
* If this candidate was elected in previous general election, what improvements has he done and does he worth re-election?
* If I give up the party ideology, who would be the best candidate to vote for?
* Is mere policy making and listing these policies while campaigning for next general elections is sufficient or do these need public approval as well?

Good thought dude. Once the political parties come to know something like this, they will amend the constitution not to implement any such thing
